We are in very dangerous times

 There is a cloud over this country.  A feeling of despair that has permeated our politics as well as the personal lives of many throughout this land. 

The President is in the throws of an Impeachment investigation along with other corruption charges.  His peers, and the public will ultimately determine if he is worthy to lead this country for another 4 years. 

Personally, I believe that there were those who thought that with his election to the Presidency, we would be returning to a time that has long since been shuttered to the dust bin of history.  Anything else would be simply wishful thinking. 

America is rapidly, and inexorably, going from white to brown.  And for many that is a terrifying possibility.  So those who will soon be the new minority are making a mad dash to consolidate power.  It doesn’t have to be that way.  America was built off the backs of slaves who were brought to this country in chains.  The ingenuity that spawned the wealth that this country now enjoys should be shared by those whose sacrifice made it possible for this country to be in the lofty position it now holds in the world. 

But alas, there lies the problem,  those who have enjoyed the privileges this country offers are not willing to give that power up willingly. 

This countries fate will ultimately be determined by the many  who helped make it great…or we will destroy ourselves and in doing so hamper the  potential greatness that lay dormant within our borders.  And in doing so crush any possibility of America living up to its true creed.
