I’ve written before on this blog about how blacks have been the victims of a new form of racism of the most insidious kind. What makes It’s so devastating to us In particularly because for the most part we don’t realize it’s happening to us.
This is why I keep stressing that seeking knowledge is the highest form of defense against ignorance.
If we just took time to put down the remote and picked up a book or just change what we focus on it could make the world of difference in the lives of our people. For example, if we knew how the drug trade was started and the reasons behind it and passed that knowledge on to others in the community, thereby saving our children from destroying their lives. Wouldn’t that be better than what we have now.
Or what if we knew how we are being systematically driven out of the housing market for desirable housing and given the worst loans at the highest rates. Couldn’t we have found a way to counter act that? Of course we could.
Understand this: the system we live in right now has been setup to keep African Americans at the bottom from its inception. Indefinitely. And the only way out of this quagmire is to have the knowledge to combat it. but not just any knowledge, we need right knowledge. Knowledge is the key people. We have all the tools we need right now at our disposal and we don’t even realize it.
Read the next line carefully: the media will control what your reality will be unless you choose to control it yourself. Think about it! I could go on but I want you to look at the video above. In it’s entirety. It’s that important. It contains the very essence of our problems here in this country. I really like this young warrior, I wish we had a thousand just like him. He gives the facts with cold hard evidence to back it up.
