I’ve lost all faith in every system in existence. I was under the impression that the goals of these systems… i.e. the Healthcare system was to make and keep people well. Not so much.
I’ve had all the experience dealing with this particular entity when I had breast cancer that I had planned on having period. But low and behold I’ve been diagnosed with Hepatitis C.
And just so happens I was born the year After they stopped making The Hep C test mandatory or a required test during exams.
Of course, no one knows how I contracted it. And that’s not the worst part.

So I had all the tests done. Met with specialists. And they determined that because my liver is not showing any signs of damage, I don’t need to have the medication Harvoni that would cure me of the disease.
Now I have a ticking time bomb in my body. I am to go on with my life like it’s not in danger.
The insurance company wants to wait until I get sick or my liver starts to show signs of damage before they give the ok for me to get the medication.
Which is beyond any comprehensive understanding I could think of.

How can waiting until I’m having symptoms to treat me benefit me in any way?
I’m so tired of having to fight to live. First the cancer now this.
I’ve came to the conclusion that wellness is not a part of their equation. The bottom line is sadly money.
